Ek Prem Katha is receiving praises from movie buffs and now The Delhi unit of the BJP has penned down a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, seeking exemption of entertainment tax to the film. Resultantly, TEPK pulled in Rs. 13.10 crores on its opening day.

Every other film failed to show strong hold at the box office on Monday except Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Bahubali 2 and Tubelight (Monday was Eid holiday) this year. The film has earned 13.10 crore day 1 (Friday) and 17.10 cr. on Day 2 (Saturday). If his last few releases were a hit at the box office, similar is expected from Toilet Ek Prem Katha. Hence, the total collection stands at Rs. 51.45 crores at the domestic front. But first let's see how much this movie Toilet ek prem katha can mint at the box office collection.

Akshay's comedy, Singh is Bliing, was not a critic favourite either, but it managed to collect Rs 54.55 crore over its opening weekend.

The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and based on PM Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign. This is great and tomorrow would once again be huge thanks to Independence Day holiday. It went passed Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Harry Met Sejal which made Rs. 45.75 crores during its first weekend.
