Tony Pulis Signs West Brom Contract Extension Through to June 2019

Tony Pulis has committed his future to West Brom by signing a new contract until 2019

West Brom head coach Tony Pulis has agreed a new contract which commits him to The Hawthorns until 2019. "I think the supporters and everybody around the football club wants to see that", he said, in quotes reported by BBC Sport.

"We know what we're after and we are desperate to bring them in, but must be patient".

"The squad is just not strong enough". The next few weeks are really vital.

"It is a very good win and a fantastic feeling", the 26-year-old player said on the club's official website.

As well as bringing in the veteran England frontman Jermain Defoe, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has also been able to acquire the services of goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and defender Nathan Ake, in a £20million deal, from Chelsea as the south-coast club step up their ambitions to become established among the Premier League elite.

Barry has made more than 600 appearances in the Premier League for Aston Villa, Manchester City and now Everton and is the number one target for the Baggies but they have a contingency plan should they be unable to get in.

West Brom continued their dominance from set pieces in the second half as Claudio Yacob headed into the side-netting.

"I am disappointed. It is unlike us to have so much possession and to not create chances - that is the most disappointing thing", he said. We gave away a needless free-kick, and against West Brom that is a unsafe thing.

Jay Rodriguez looks a good signing for WBA. I thought we were ready. Scoring three goals and assisting one, it could be argued that Clucas would have totted up more numbers in a team that was not fighting relegation.
