Sonic Mania On PC Has Been Delayed

Before you get too lost in nostalgia of the 1990s, the game is also adding completely new Zones with all-new Acts and bosses into the mix. The creative team was even showing off one of the physical Collector's Edition boxes off during the live stream, showing off what console owners can expect from the package on August 15. The great news is that the game is due out next week on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

According to TechRaptor, the limited collector's edition will actually arrive on time for those who pre-ordered it, but it won't arrive with the game. The game is scheduled to launch later this month. SEGA did not reveal the reasons for this small delay other than the PC version - in its current state - does not meet its standards.

Back in 1993, Sonic CD included two animated full motion video sequences starring the blue hedgehog, as well as the enemies he faces to save the world from evil. If Sega ever decides to make a new Sonic cartoon, it would be wise for them to go with a style like this. A lot of Sonic fans are looking forward to Sonic Mania, so we'll see in just a few short days if it lives up to the excitement.

You're not dreaming. Since the 90's, Sonic has advanced from the 2D world into 3D, and has crossed multiple platforms along the way. Let us know in the comments.
