Minnesota coach PJ Fleck surprises walk-on with scholarship in incredible way

Minnesota Coach PJ Fleck Surprises Kicker with Full Scholarship

Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck brought in Kyle, a teenager who Juenemann has spent time with at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.

"Everything went by so fast", Juenemann told ABC News.

Fleck replaced Tracy Claeys at Minnesota, who was sacked after a clash between the team and the administration over the process behind the bowl-game suspension of 10 players in connection with alleged sexual misconduct.

"Than you Coach Fleck, Kyle, and everyone who was involved in setting this up", Juenemann posted to Twitter. "He could easily just not do it and nobody would ever say anything". He caught it but took a moment to realize what the t-shirt said.

If Juenemann does see the field this fall, he'll do so as scholarship athlete.

Juenemann said it will definitely be a moment he remembers.

During a team meeting, Coach P.J. Fleck was flanked by a special guest, Kyle.

Juenemann has yet to appear in a game with the Golden Gophers, but if he does, it'll be as a scholarship athlete for the first time in his life.

Even Minnesota alum Eric Decker gave Juenemann a shout out. "It's pretty cool for him to reach out and he didn't have to, but he did and it means a lot".

You really do have to see it to believe it.
