LG V30 Plus might come along with the LG V30

South Korea exclusive LG V30 Plus to be unveiled alongside the LG V30 on August 31

LG G6 wasn't the flagship, even though it appeared like one, and the company has been working on something better. Well, that should certainly spice things up in the premium smartphone race, where the Galaxy Note 8 is soon going to be in the spotlight.

LG will finally unveil the LG V30 on August 31 during IFA 2017, but it will not be the only LG smartphone that will be announced at the event.

According to a report by ETNews, LG plans to announce a "Plus" variant of the V30 alongside the standard variant during the IFA 2017 event in August. The smartphone manufacturer has always been the kind to introduce a singular flagship smartphone.

The announcement of the smartphone is scheduled for August 31 and will be held in Berlin at the IFA show in 2017, and its sales will start on September 15 in South Korea, and the mobile phone will arrive on September 30. While the LG V30 is pegged to have a price of $700, the LG V30 Plus will cost about $875.

But LG isn't a pro at this game like Samsung.

If the rumours are to be believed, the LG V30 will most likely include the Snapdragon 835 processor and will come with IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and ESS Quad DAC support, as well as a headphone jack.

One of the additional improvements LG has made to its V30 imaging is a reduction in edge distortion with its wide-angle camera. There is a strong possibility that the V30 Plus might never see the light of the day outside South Korea. That being said, the V30 will also have to go some way in improving on the design, which I felt took a step back past year with the big and chunky V20.

The V30 Plus is expected to have 128GB of storage on deck, whereas the regular V30 will have "merely" 64GB of the stuff inside. The screen size is to be measured at 6 inches or higher with an OLED panel and 2K resolution. Paired with LG's specialized UX featuring laser detection AF, optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization, shutterbugs will find the V30 as easy and convenient to use as its predecessor.
