Ivanka to lead United States team at GES

PM Modi tweets on Ivanka Trump's visit to India

"Ivanka Trump will lead the US delegation to India this fall, supporting women's entrepreneurship globally", Trump said in a tweet August 10, hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement on the micro-blogging site. However, it is safe to assume that it may have been in the context of the first daughter's scheduled visit to India in November to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

This was first announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet. "But before criticizing Mr Modi's decision, please do remember that Ms Trump is a senior adviser to the USA president, Donald Trump".

"India and United States will co-host the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) at Hyderabad from 28-30 November 2017", Modi tweeted, tagging Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump, who will lead the United States delegation. It is not sure how the U.S. president, who is notorious for losing temper over slights, real and imagined, will react if he sees the tweet.

Through networking, mentoring, and workshops, the GES empowers entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, build partnerships, secure funding, and create innovative goods and services that will transform societies.

In the next tweet, PM Modi said that he was looking forward to Ivanka Trump's presence at the summit as the leader of the USA delegation. He said the three-day event would aim to bring together entrepreneurs of the two countries.
