'GLOW' has been renewed by Netflix for a second season

Netflix has renewed GLOW for a second season (ten episodes). GLOW's impact on professional wrestling is easy to see even today; the league was the first to place female wrestlers squarely in the spotlight and elevated ringside antics to new heights. The series tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she's thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women's wrestling.

As of late, no further details about season two's storyline have been released, but we do know executive producer Jenji Kohan (Orange Is the New Black) has a knack for long-standing, binge-worthy programming.

The title of the series, "GLOW", actually means "Gorgeous Ladies of Wresling", and reports reveal that it has attracted the attention of a wide variety of audiences, including women, liberals, gamers, and men.

Thier original shows and films are becoming extremely popular and one show that seemed to really win the hearts of viewers was GLOW.

An official release date for the series is yet to be announced, but Netflix have confirmed that it will follow an 10 episode format once more. In the meantime, the entire first season is available on Netflix for streaming.
