Watford sign striker Andre Gray in club-record deal

Brentford could land just under £2m should Andre Gray's transfer from Burnley to Watford be completed.

The club's new manager had previously refused to guarantee Deeney, 29, would lead his new-look team.

Gray is understood to be on £55,000 a week at Watford and he became their seventh signing of the summer on Wednesday.

"He's our player and our captain", said Silva. I need to decide. "I don't have reason to change". Deeney underwent minor surgery on a groin problem this summer and Silva added: 'He is progressing well. In the next few days he will be ready to start full training'. "He will be then ready to help the team". Watford calso onfirmed the signing of 20-year-old Brazilian forward Richarlison from Fluminense for £13m after a successful work permit application, having long agreed terms. "We have one idea".

"It's important to have solutions".

Mauro Zarate (knee), Christian Kabasele (hamstring) and Brice Dja Djedje (unknown) will all miss the visit of Liverpool, while centre-back Craig Cathcart is not yet ready to feature as he makes his way back from a knee problem sustained towards the end of last season. If you look at the past, Watford entered the market in January to sign two new players for the attacking line and one of those players, M'Baye Niang, left the club and [Mauro] Zarate is injured.

"He's a different player to Troy and Okaka".

"He has a different type of game". He gives a different option.

"We need to wait and see", he said.

'He needs to understand our ideas and our model, but I don't know yet.
