Psychedelic Rail-Shooter Rez Infinite Comes to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive

So remember when it was announced that Rez Infinite, the remake of the classic Dreamcast title for PS4 and PlayStation VR, would be releasing on PC via Steam today? The PC version of the game has a new View Mode, unrestricted resolution, and support for multiple controllers. It was previously released for the PS4 past year with support for Sony's Playstation VR.

Enhance, Rez's developer, says that a Google Daydream version of the game will release sometime in the future.

Featuring the five original areas from Rez, the release features enhanced visuals and full 3D audio for the most immersive version yet.

VR Optional - The entire game is playable on your desktop, or in full VR with your HTC Vive or Oculus Rift headset and accompanying controllers (standard gamepads, Vive Controllers, and Oculus Remote and Touch controllers are all supported).

View Mode: Take in the environment or capture great moments by pressing "V" on keyboard. Furthermore, PC players will be treated to a free package of bonus content, including selections from the soundtrack, desktop wallpapers and player avatars.

You can pick it up right now via Steam for $19.99, 20% off its regular price.

Additionally Enhance Games created a brand new level specifically for virtual reality (VR), Area X. Unlike the original five levels which are on-rails, Area X is completely free-roaming, so that players can move around and shoot targets however they like just by moving their head. Other new features include a viewing mode, which allows you to pause and photograph the game in all its glory.
