Mike Ditka weighs in on Mitchell Trubisky, Bears QB battle

Broncos vs. bears 1

Former Chicago Bulls center Stacey King chimed in, just after another famous king from the association took note of his friend Victor Cruz catching his touchdown pass from Trubisky.

"Our depth chart is not going to change after one game", Fox said, according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. The Bears traded their first-, third- and fourth-round selections, as well as a 2018 third rounder, to the San Francisco 49ers for the second overall pick, essentially trading away three young players to move up one spot.

The 2017 second round pick was impressive in his debut and had Bears fans going wild.

"You have to look at a lot of different things". That gave the Bears a 17-10 lead.

To complicate matters further, the Bears had just signed free agent Mike Glennon to a three-year deal, with the plan to install him as the starting signal caller. Chris Harris Jr. intercepted an overthrown pass on the game's third play from scrimmage and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown.

Still, Chicago head coach John Fox maintained that Glennon will begin the season as the starting quarterback.

"What I saw out of Trubisky for a rookie in his first game I thought was outstanding", Ditka said.

If Trubisky keeps this play up in the preseason, the Bears might have a choice to make come Week 1.

Quarterback controversy is now the hot topic in the Windy City, and there were no shortage of hot takes on social media during the game.

Lynch came on early in the second quarter and was 6 for 9 for 42 yards. For me, it's just good to get back out playing.

Broncos: "I don't really look at it like that", Siemian said when asked if he added distance between himself and Lynch.

"You kind of have to put it in perspective", Glennon said. "But I'm not going to focus on the outside world, I'll focus what's going on in the locker room and the coaches". RB Ka'Deem Carey left with a quad injury.
