Besides, it will come in two variants - 3GB RAM and 32GB storage priced at Rs 12,999 and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at Rs 13,999. It is powered by a deca-core MediaTek MT6797 SoC paired with either 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage - dependent on the variant. Lenovo claims that all upcoming smartphones (including the K8 Note) will be updated to Android O in the future.

The K8 Note draws power from a 4000mAh supported by a turbo charger.

Display and Design: The Lenovo K8 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. But the best thing is that the phone offers a dedicated slot to expand the storage.

It has dual camera setup with a 13 megapixels primary sensor and 5 megapixels secondary sensor. The front panel is expected to feature a 13Megapixel module which will be assisted by a selfie flash light. Targeted at the young and spirited, who want more from their device at a pocket-friendly price, the K8 Note makes history by being the first device in Lenovo's K Note series to run on stock Android and offer dual cameras. The Lenovo K8 Note comes in two colours - Venom Black and Fine Gold.

"This is the ninth launch in just five months as a Lenovo MBG (comprising of Lenovo and Moto-branded smartphones), but that was under Moto and now the Lenovo has started", Sudhin Mathur, Country Head, Lenovo Mobiles Business Group India told Gizbot in an exclusive interaction.

The K8 Note employs a mixture of polycarbonate and metal for its body which is not unusual for a mid-range phone. The device rocks a Fingerprint sensor, splash resistant, TheatreMax support and Dolby Atmos sound system.

A new addition is the dedicated hardware music key on the left side that lets you control music playback on the phone and can also be customized for other functions (only for long press).

The connectivity features ranges from Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G VoLTE, GPS, MicroUSB 2.0.

Looking at the price point and specifications on offer, the Lenovo K8 Note will compete against the Honor 6X.

Secondly, starting with the K8 Note, Lenovo has ditched the Vibe UI in favor of stock Android OS.

The Honor 6X comes with dual-rear cameras as well. Once again, you can buy the device via Amazon India on August 18. It comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera. Amazon also revealed that the device would be exclusively available on its website.
