'He's got a gun?' Britney Spears left terrified as fan storms stage during Las Vegas gig

Britney Spears was forced to take an abrupt intermission during her Las Vegas show when a man rushed the stage mid-performance.

E! News obtained a statement from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department who confirmed that the man, 37-year-old Jesse Webb, was arrested for trespassing.

As she finishes the song there is suddenly a commotion as a fan can be seen trying to get onto the stage behind the singer.

"Webb was asked to leave the concert by security prior to him jumping on stage and dancing", the LVPD said. 'Webb was transported to the Clark County Detention Center. "There is no further information regarding this arrest". Spears was singing "You Drive Me Crazy" when Webb jumped onstage.

Spears initially seemed unaware of the incident until members of her security team approached.

This event proves that yes - everyone does want a piece of Britney Spears.

"Britney was rushed off the stage as security wrestled with the guy, when they moved him off the stage everybody started chanting "Britney, Britney".

Dancers blockaded the man as security guards surrounded Britney.

While another simply wrote, "Poor Britney leave her alone".

Spears will be back on stage at Planet Hollywood this evening. Hairography. An unexpected and violent stage crashing - had it all tonight!'
