Chelsea in three-way battle for PSG right back

PSG star does a Pique amid Aurier to Man Utd speculation

The Sky Sports News reporter is claiming that the 24-year-old defender is one of a number of players Chelsea are keeping tabs on as they look to further bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Having already conceded defeat in the pursuit of both Ivan Perisic and Gareth Bale, Mourinho and United seem to be moving on to closing Serge Aurier now.

Paris Saint-Germain are alleged to have put defender Serge Aurier up for sale, according to reports.

It's said Inter are interested in signing the Ivory Coast global as part of a player-plus-cash deal including midfielder Joao Mario, although negotiations were purely over personal terms.

According to Goal, Aurier will pen a five-year contract with United. United are reported to have submitted an initial offer of €25m (£22.6m), but given the two clubs aren't a million miles apart, it's believed the deal could be struck some time next week.

Although Jose Mourinho's club is yet to agree on a fee with PSG, Goal says Aurier has completed personal terms with United and will be at Old Trafford stadium until 2022.

Antonio Conte is in the market for another attack-minded right-back to compete with Victor Moses in the wing-back role and Aurier has been earmarked after the Blues missed out on Danilo to Man City.

The full-back is now awaiting an appeal hearing after being blocked from entering the United Kingdom following his conviction for assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in Paris previous year.
