Arkansas truck crash spills hundreds of frozen pizzas onto interstate

Frozen Pizzas Truck Wreck

A delivery truck carrying the pizzas had been travelling westbound on the Interstate 30 at around 1pm, when it hit the Mabelvale Road overpass.

A truck driver gave an Arkansas highway a pizza his mind this week.

Such was the situation in Little Rock, Arkansas this morning, when an 18-wheeler full of frozen pies sliced itself open on a bridge support and spilled its cargo all over I-30.

Agency spokesman Danny Straessle said the bridge had only "cosmetic damage", adding that, while there were no injuries, some people were "shaken up".

DiGiorno and other frozen pizzas covered the interstate in Pulaski County following a tractor-trailer accident on Wednesday.

The truck's diesel fuel also leaked all over the road, requiring a massive clean-up and, tragically, making the pizzas inedible. "Lots of pizza fatalities".

The highway department said in a Tweet that clearing the scene will "take time". The eastbound lanes were reopened after 45 minutes.
