We'll see just a few afternoon clouds.

We have now had 56 days this summer where the high temperatures have reached a high of 80 degree or more.

Isolated showers are expected early Friday.

As the humidity rises and becomes more noticeable starting Friday, scattered thunderstorm chances will start to rise as well.

An extended period of wet weather will linger next week.with scattered showers possible.

In Madison on Tuesday, look for sunny skies, a high near 81 and calm wind becoming west winds around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

We'll have a sunny, warm Wednesday at the fairgrounds. High temperatures remain below normal in the middle 80s. It's also quite muggy.

We'll hold the 20-percent chance for a passing shower on Friday, but it looks like most spots stay dry with partly sunny skies. An onshore flow will keep shoreline high temperatures in the lower 80s. Expect readings in the lower to middle 80s depending on sunshine and thunderstorm development. Wednesday brings plenty of sunshine and is a seasonable day. Expect readings in the 70s to near 80 degrees.
