KLAS and the Las Vegas Review-Journal both reported that the break-in occurred Saturday morning at 8930 W. Sunset Road in Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. A source told LasVegasNow that a threatening note was also left inside the office, however, authorities refused to confirm that.

Officers took a report for the letter and are investigating the incident, they said.

A spokesperson for Senator Heller said that they could not comment on an ongoing investigation. On Sunday, someone broke into his office and left a "threatening note".

Neither the LVMPD nor Heller's office immediately responded to TPM's requests for comment.

Heller is among a handful of Republicans who have come out against the Republican health care bill. Neither the Vegas police nor Heller's office has confirmed their reporting as of yet.

Senator Heller is one of several republican senators that have previously opposed the healthcare bills to replace Obamacare.
