Over the years Kelly has had multiple accusations of sexual misconduct leveled against him, including a 2008 case where he was acquitted on 14 charges of making child pornography; that case centered around a videotape that prosecutors alleged showed Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Buzzfeed exclusively reported about R. Kelly and the allegations that he's operating some manner of cult where he keeps young women under his control. Upon their arrival, cell phones are confiscated and replaced with new ones that they can use to only contact him or people he's approved of. One daughter allegedly began losing weight and skipping college classes after she met Kelly, while another reportedly got breast surgery paid for by Kelly. This was 2015 and she was just 19. Her daughter now lives with R. Kelly in his Atlanta home, and struggling to get her daughter to come home based on strong suspicions that her daughter is being abused.

McGee said she never saw Kelly hit anybody, but also said "he was running a "cult" and manipulated her emotionally and sexually". J says that she hasn't seen her daughter in person since December 1, 2016 and has only heard from her (via text message) twice since then - on Christmas and on Mother's Day. "You grew up with the song, and you like the song".

"I have not talked to my daughter in more than a year", her mother, Theresa, said, adding she has left countless texts and voicemail messages that have not yet received a response. DeRogatis has covered the saga of Kelly's alleged sexual relationships with minors, which has more chapters than even the R&B artist's magnum opus "Trapped In The Closet". "And then from there he wanted her to travel with him so she could see how the music game really was". Now she is 21 and if the reports are true she is a part of the singer's harem of brainwashed ladies.

"The mother stated to Buzzfeed: "[She] looked like a prisoner - it was frightful.

"We can only wonder why folks would persist in defaming a great artist who loves his fans, works 24/7, and takes care of all of the people in his life", Linda Mensch wrote. I don't know what to do.

"In the back of our minds, we were thinking [my daughter] could be around him if I was with her. They can reprogram her but I wish I could have stopped it from happening".

That's not the only story either.

The allegations against the artist come via a Buzzfeed News article, where interviews with Cheryl Mack, Kitti Jones, and Asante McGee, former members of his inner circle, as well as interviews with anxious parents, reveal disturbing accounts of six women that were recruited by Kelly and are now residing at his rented properties. "It's a disturbing story", he told WGN in a phone interview Monday.

She and her husband have been trying for two years now to get back their daughter, who lives with Kelly in Atlanta.

"No. You have to ask for food. He is a puppet master". The women are also required to dress in jogging suits, according to Mack, because Kelly "doesn't want their figures to be exposed; he doesn't want them to look appealing". They are aspiring singers who met the famous star.

"R. Kelly is the sweetest person you will ever want to meet", said Asante McGee, a former member of his inner circle. "But Robert is the devil", McGee said, suggesting that the singer has two personalities. But their daughter isn't a missing person - at least not in the eyes of the law.
