Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in new Blade Runner 2049 trailer

The New Blade Runner 2049 Trailer is Here

A new worldwide trailer for Blade Runner 2049 gives all due respect to Ridley Scott and Harrison Ford, but what drew my attention on this latest marketing tool are the elements that suggest the sequel will not be simply a slavish copy of the original.

The trailer, which aired during Good Morning America, checks on Ryan Gosling's LAPD officer, K, who's been tasked with the pretty awesome job of finding Harrison Ford in a lovely hellscape. His investigation leads him to Rick Deckard, a former blade runner played by Ford that disappeared 30 years ago. The latest trailer shows off a lot more scenes from the upcoming film - which might be considered a spoiler for some. "We [Deckard and his fellow Blade Runners] were being hunted." . The newest trailer, in which more of a desolate Los Angeles is revealed, only further cements this promise.

The new trailer harkens back to the original and promises that the characters will discover the next step in the future of humanity. Some of them are featured in the trailer, with Leto seemingly someone who makes replicants. We also get to see a little bit more from Robin Wright's character, who seems to be a police chief or a high ranking officer of some kind. Blade Runner 2049 is due to be released on 6th October 2017.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the new sci-fi sequel stars Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, and Jared Leto. Initially, the first Blade Runner didn't really hit with the audience.
