Dileep's bail plea rejection a warning for offenders: Angamaly court

The magistrate has agreed with the prosecution and has listed possible tampering of evidence as one of the reasons for rejecting bail.

Dileep has been charged under nine sections of IPC, including criminal conspiracy and gang rape. He'd also claimed on Saturday that it was because of the charges against Dileep that the court had rejected the plea and that it wasn't on the merit of the evidence in the case.

Following denial of bail, Dileep will have to cool his heels in the Aluva sub jail till July 25, when his two weeks remand period ends.

The commission made this plea in a letter to Tamil Nadu media house and Tamil Nadu Public Relations Director, a press release said.

Though police have cracked open a mobile phone of Dileep, the clip was yet to be found, say reports coming from Malayalam media. It would also adversely affect the ongoing probe into the conspiracy behind the sensational case, the prosecution had said.

He alleged that there was no evidence against Dileep and he was being framed in the case.

It was earlier said that Pulsar Suni had given the phone to Pratheesh Chacko in order to hand over the same to Dileep.

Although the prime accused, Pulsar Suni, was nabbed by the police within a few days, there was suspicion that the crime had a conspiracy behind it. Right now, Dileep is in custody and every day a new story has been emerging about Dileep and the Malayalam industry at large.

The actress, who shared screen with Dileep in several films, stated in her complaint that she was abducted on the night of Feb 19 this year while she was travelling from Thrissur to Kochi.

Now, the actress has come forward expressing willingness to record her statement.
