Blues have 'serious and strong' interest in signing Man City striker

Sergio Aguero faces an uncertain future at Manchester City despite a tremendous record

Sky sources say "it will be very hard for Chelsea to sign Aguero" but that their interest is real.

City and Pep Guardiola have always said that Aguero will stay at City, but the questions about Aguero's future have only increased this summer as City continue to pursue a deal for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez. "It has never been in doubt". I've read a lot of the speculation on this and it's ridiculous. We are a team that aspires to win every competition we compete in.

Iheanacho's exclusion from the squad specifies that the 20-year-old is on his way out of Etihad Stadium, having been found surplus to requirements in the Citizens' squad. "It has never been in doubt".

Chelsea are thought to be on the lookout for a new striker this summer, with Diego Costa's future at Stamford Bridge remaining unclear.

Conte has drawn up a wishlist that includes Aubameyang, Alvaro Morata, Andrea Belotti and more recently Sergio Aguero.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims Chelsea are looking to take advantage of that and complete a shock swoop this summer.

Chelsea would likely welcome Aguero as he would be a good solution to their striker chase.

Speaking with the media about signing Zouma on loan Mark Hughes said, "There is genuine interest". We think this could be a great tie up for both parties and we'd love to see it happen.

"Those are the words being used to us, "serious" and "strong" interest".
