'Why is it lie after lie after lie?' on Russian Federation meeting

Fox News’ Shepard Smith Slams White House for ‘Lie After Lie After Lie’ About Russia More

Fox News hosts Shepard Smith ripped into members of the Donald Trump campaign involved in a meeting previous year with a Russian attorney, going on a lengthy rant about their "mind-boggling" deception as reports about their discussion continue to come out.

More. Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, the lawyer from Russian Federation, the interpreter, this new guy we found out about today, and a mystery person.

"The deception, Chris, is mind boggling", he continued, addressing Fox News's Chris Wallace. And there are still people who are out there who believe we're making it up.

While discussing this new information, Wallace commented to Smith, "Who knows if we've gotten to the end of this story?". Why all these lies?

"I don't know what to say", Mr. Wallace responded. "My grandmother used to say, 'Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive'".

"The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling", the host added, before turning his focus to Trump's dedicated supporters.

"If there's nothing there, and that's what they tell us, why all these lies?"

SMITH: I don't think we have yet.

The president often retweets clips from Fox News programming, particularly Fox & Friends, and promotes appearances by his family members on the channel.

In fact, conservative-leaning former game show host Chuck Woolery tweeted, " Was #ShepardSmith anxious about Lie after lie from #Obama on #Healthcare? "I think there is very little legal jeopardy for Donald Trump, Jr., but there's a huge problem with the credibility of the White House because they kept saying there is no collusion, there have been no contacts, this is all a hoax, it is all fake news".

Fox News has largely been seen as supportive of Mr Trump and the Republican Party, with Smith's outburst seen as a break from tradition on the network.

Smith has been known in the past for some wacky on-air moments, as Michael Lohan dropped the F bomb on his show and he narrated as Fox News covered a couple of escaped llamas in Arizona!
