First Trailer For Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle In Time

A Wrinkle in Time arrives in cinemas on March 9th, 2018.

The movie has an all-star cast and is based on the book by Madeleine L'Engle.

Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey) tells Meg Murray, "Your father has accomplished something extraordinary but also unsafe".

Duvernay, Reid, Pine, Winfrey and Witherspoon came out to big applause.

'What if we are here for a reason? Madeleine L'Engle's creative ability was with the end goal that they stated, 'ugh... excessively, excessively radical.' So we truly just ventured into that and stated, will venture into our own particular creative abilities also and attempt to move it into another century. Pine says, before shown being trapped in a unusual room.

The trailer features plenty of gorgeous and colorful set pieces, elaborate costume designs and excitement. "I thought if I could bring my ideas to the classic novel I thought we could do something new". During D23, DuVernay described the project as "a family story wrapped in an epic adventure where you see worlds you've never seen before" (via The Hollywood Reporter).

"I loved working with Oprah", the 36-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight.

"Ms Ava is so patient". Ms Reese and Mindy, you guys are unbelievable and you made me feel like you were my mom on set.

"I don't know [if Steve Trevor survived the blast]". But we haven't seen a trailer for it until now.

Winfrey, who was also in attendance at the event, says she hadn't read the book when DuVernay first approached her about the role.

"I just thought it was so magical that Ava chose to put her lovely direction toward this material", said Witherspoon.

Joining Reid and Pine are Reese Witherspoon who will play as Mrs. Whatsit, Mindy Kaling as Mrs.

Winfrey was her usual giving self at the expo, speaking on the panel and finishing things up with a giveaway, shouting: "EVERYBODY GETS A POSTER!" And you get a poster!

Wrinkle has Frozen's Jennifer Lee adapting the tale, the start of L'Engle's Time Quartet series of novels.

Director Ava DuVernay has released a dazzling trailer for Disney's fantasy movie, A Wrinkle in Time, on Saturday (July 15).
