PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that Marco van Ginkel will return to the club on a new one-year loan deal from Chelsea.

The midfielder will rejoin the Dutch side after making 15 appearances for the club last season.

Since then, all of Van Ginkel's football has come away from Stamford Bridge courtesy of loans at AC Milan, Stoke and twice at PSV.

It will be the fifth time the 24-year-old has been loaned out since joining Chelsea in 2013, and his third with the Eindhoven giants. However, they couldn't agree a fee and instead will settle for Van Ginkel returning on a season-long loan deal.

"PSV hope to quickly welcome the midfielder in Switzerland, where he will join our training camp".

The Holland worldwide was loaned out to AC Milan and Stoke during his first two years with the Blues and has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Philips Stadion.

Van Ginkel follows Tammy Abraham, Kasey Paler, Ola Aina, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lucas Piazon among others in leaving Chelsea on loan this summer.
