Today We Are Blessed With A New Round Of BLACK PANTHER Photos

Black Panther Chadwick Boseman Michael B Jordan

This cover and new photos are part of the annual Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con edition, and while no specifics have been given for Marvel's epic 90-minute Hall H panel yet, Black Panther is expected to be showcased in some way, shape or form.

There could be some real political meat on the bones of this movie-certainly more so than you'd see in your typical comic book superhero movie.

Executive producer Nate Moore told Entertainment Weekly that unlike other Marvel movies, like The Avengers and more recently, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther will feel less like a traditional genre film. On it, Chadwick Boseman poses as T'Challa along with Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia and Michael B. Jordan as Kilmonger. Even Ultron left a little to be desired.

But with that release date inching ever closer, Black Panther is finally ready to open its doors. Plus, his name is "Killmonger". That doesn't sound particularly engaging, but it will come down to execution in the end.

The film's director, Ryan Coogler, says fans will likely have trouble identifying who the bad guys and the good guys are in the film. "What makes him different from other superheroes first and foremost is he doesn't see himself as a superhero", he explained. That being said, Marvel movies have been by-and-large successful, and the people working on this film are quite strong, so Black Panther should deliver. That's the first thing on his mind when he wakes up in the morning: "'How am I going to fulfill my duties as king of this place?'"

The world of Wakanda is filled with strong women, played here by Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett, "The Walking Dead" star Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king-and Black Panther-is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk.

Another face-off between T'Challa and Killmonger, with Killmonger being led off in chains - possibly at the start of his banishment from Wakanda. Coogler gave EW some details about what main character T'Challa (played by Boseman) is up against. Since this looks like a sanctioned fight or ritual of some sort, this is supposedly before Killmonger, originally named N'Jadaka, was exiled from Wakanda for his treasonous ambitions for the throne. He has an opinion on how the world should be run and is willing to take on T'Challa in order to bring those changes about.
