Ed Orgeron, LSU players not bothered by Florida's homecoming scheduling

Orgeron appeared at SEC Media Day on Monday, his first appearance since he was head coach of Ole Miss from 2006-08. He was 10-25 in three seasons from 2005-07 in Oxford. Following successful stints as an interim head coach at Southern California and LSU, Orgeron is back as a permanent head coach for the first time.

When Ole Miss turned the page in 2007, so did Ed Orgeron. They've finished 8-5 each of the last three seasons, not a job-losing record at most schools, but the Aggies went 11-2 and won at Alabama in Sumlin's first season.

"After the bowl game coach [Demayune] Craig came in for a meeting, and I looked around and didn't see Travin or Malachi", Chark said. They came up with two things that had to change. But I think all you have to do is look at it's hard to win and it's hard to win championships.

He concluded that two primary changes were needed before he gained a second chance.

It's what Orgeron did after he was sacked by Ole Miss that he says has made the difference in his coaching success. Orgeron looked closely into his. "But, we have done it". Orgeron and Rodriguez are the only two who had losing records at their previous full-time stops (Orgeron did go 6-2 as USC's interim coach). "I could play kicker if they need me to".

"I understand the expectations of LSU", Orgeron said.

After LSU's win at Arkansas last fall and a week following the Tigers' 10-0 loss to the Tide, Guice called Alabama "scared". His role could be greatly enhanced in the spread and multi-faceted attack of first-year offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who ran an assortment of successful attacks at Pittsburgh, North Carolina State, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois and in over the years. The LSU offense had a few big performances down the stretch, and after he was named full-time coach, Orgeron led the Tigers to a decisive Citrus Bowl win over Heisman Trophy victor Lamar Jackson and Louisville. LSU has lost six consecutive games to Alabama - starting with the 2011 national title game.

"D.J. was really thinking about going to the NFL", Orgeron said. They do a great job of evaluation. Alabama is the benchmark. Odom made his Hoover debut a year ago just as news broke that Missouri athletics director Mack Rhoades was leaving for Baylor. LSU will travel to The Swamp each of the next two seasons. "We just take it one day at a time and one game at a time". No Bengal Tiger fan, player or coach should be surprised. Muschamp went 28-21 in four years at Florida and turned that into the SC job with only one year between gigs.

He hogged much of the spotlight, his affable and honest personality getting the big stage in the conference's unofficial start to football season.

Orgeron laughed. Ponamsky quipped, "Popped it just in time for you to get back on the plane again".

Chark has been putting in work with quarterback Danny Etling in the past month to help speed up the learning process of the offense.

"On our offensive staff, we are very excited to have Matt Canada as an offensive coordinator". "He said that he can use a pro-style quarterback or a dual-threat quarterback". He loves that we made it a quarterback competition. Derrick Guice is a terrific running back, one of the best in the nation.

Key's surgery was announced on June 4.

"That last game, going into the bowl, Leonard could not play".

One Tennessee player said Monday that Jones' heat is undeserved. I feel like Derrius could do that as well, but I think Derrius could catch some more balls than Leonard can.
