Special prosecutor 'investigating business dealings of Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner'

Russian Federation investigation special counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly investigating Kushner's finances.

And, according to Mueller's spokesman, Peter Carr, more attorneys are on the way.

The high-profile team of leading investigators and experts includes a number of well-seasoned attorneys that have taken on other top cases such as Watergate and the Enron fraud scandal.

Pence's office confirmed he had retained Richard Cullen, a former Virginia attorney general and U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to assist "in responding to inquiries" from Mueller.

According to Thursday's Post report, investigators have also been looking into the financial dealings of other Trump associates, including former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, and former foreign-policy adviser Carter Page.

In a statement, the National Security Agency said it "will fully cooperate with the special counsel", but declined to comment further.

About a week later, Mueller, another former Federal Bureau of Investigation director, was appointed, over Trump's opposition, as special counsel to lead the criminal probe.

"Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough thinks White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and chief of staff Reince Preibus are driving some of the leaks that are damaging Trump adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

In May, the Post reported that the meeting with Kislyak focused on setting up a back channel between the Trump transition team and Moscow.

After Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, Trump said that Comey had told him three times that he was not under investigation.
