Miles Teller arrested for public intoxication

Carrie Fisher Autopsy Report Released

Miles Teller was reportedly arrested early in the morning on Sunday, June 18, for public intoxication.

The "Fantastic Four" star, 30, was partying with a group of male friends around 12:30 a.m. when an officer believed he was drunk, San Diego Police Department officer Billy Hernandez told the Daily News. Police later confirmed Teller was not to blame for the crash, insisting the other driver cut him off.

Teller was allegedly "showing symptoms of being intoxicated from alcohol"; he was slurring his speech, and he was stumbling from side to side with bloodshot eyes.

The report states that Miles was taken to a detox center to essentially sleep it off rather than be taken to jail, which police have the option to do in San Diego. He was then officially arrested for public intoxication, which is classified as a misdemeanor, and transferred to San Diego Central Jail, according to Page Six.

Mile was released approximately four hours later without bail.

The actor most recently made headlines in December after being involved in a scary auto accident with his girlfriend, Keleigh Sperry, after an Uber driver slammed into his truck.

NBC 7 has reached out to Teller's manager for comment. He was able to walk away from the crash without injury.
