LCD Soundsystem announced for The Warehouse Project opening weekend

LCD Soundsystem to headline opening weekend of The Warehouse Project 2017 By April Clare Welsh Jun 19 2017

The 2017 renaissance of LCD Soundsystem has shifted into overdrive, as this morning James Murphy and crew have detailed a new album called American Dream. As if that wasn't enough LCD news for one news cycle, the NY electronic rock titans have also announced a tour itinerary that finds them in Europe come September and then in North America for the rest of the year. Meanwhile, check out the new record's title track, along with another previously shared new song, Call The Police, below. After years in hibernation, the band returned to the stage with a pair of NY shows in March 2016, followed by a tightly curated list of festivals and other performances, including the hurricane-dashed set on the III Points bill.

The Warehouse Project have revealed the opening weekend of their WHP17 season, with LCD Soundsystem headlining Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September.

'Hello humans, ' wrote mastermind James in a statement. "This is just a note to say that we're done with the record. Just some art stuff to finish, but it's been mastered already and the lacquers are winging their way to the pressing plant (which is, I think, where they'll make the mothers and stampers, etc)". 6 weeks is the very fastest, I think, but it will likely be longer than that.

So much has happened since LCD Soundsystem released This Is Happening back in 2010.
