Condolences pour in as George Shelley's sister dies

Harriet Shelley, 21, suffered serious head injuries in an accident on 28 April (17), and was receiving treatment in an intensive care unit at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England.

Tributes have been paid on social media to the 21 year-old, who's been described as "the most handsome, loving and caring person in the world".

The news was confirmed via a family friend and today the Shelley family released a statement paying tribute to Harriet.

Her loving mother Toni Shelley had been at the girl's bedside since the accident and had said that her daughter had been "in the wrong place at the wrong time".

She insisted that nobody was to blame for the incident and thanked hospital staff for working around the clock in a bid to try and save her daughter.

She said: "She was hit by a auto".

George found fame when he joined Union J whilst auditioning for "The X Factor" in 2012.

George's 10.5k Twitter followers all shared their love, by describing how sad they felt for the 23-year old, and said that his sister, Harriet, will be missed by them all.

Harriet had just graduated with a degree in midwifery and had posted on social media about going on holiday after finishing her dissertation.
