The order was filed on February 17, 2017, more than two years after the couple had broken up, and primarily accuses Brown of threatening Tran in a number of ways, including death threats, and through text messages sent as recently as December 2016 to January 2017.

Sources said this has been a long time coming for Tran, as the alleged abuse started a long time ago.

Rihanna reportedly did not cooperate with authorities in her 2009 case.

Brown previously instructed his lawyer, Mark Geragos, and his co-workers not to accept anything on his behalf, forcing Tran's legal representatives to hire a private team in a bid to track down the singer and personally hand him the documents. The "Ayo" singer was about to leave the venue when she was served with a restraining order from his ex Karrueche Tan, TMZ reported.

According to TMZ, Karrueche celebrated Brown's 28th birthday on May 5 by hitting him with a restraining order.

La Cour cited an altercation that happened at Diddy's Super Bowl party where the singer confronted him.

Karrueche claimed in her filing that Chris had allegedly told people that he wanted to "kill her" by shooting her while she also told the court he abused her while they were dating by throwing her down the stairs and punching her in the stomach.

Karrueche and her camp refused to comment publicly on the matter.

Karrueche's lawyer, Michelle Trigger told E! "What all them other people on the outside doing, let them do what they doing".

Chris Brown must officially keep his distance from his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
