Tianjin Quanjian talk Diego Costa move

Antonio Conte Matteo Darmian reveals secret to Chelsea manager's success

The Chinese Super League club tried to sign the Spain striker during the January window, but a move did not materialise.

It seems like Diego Costa's hot and cold Chelsea are is closing in to its end, as Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian are reportedly ready to do whatever it takes to land the Spanish striker at the end of the season, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol reports.

Costa's form has noticeably dipped in 2017 since he was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, adding to the speculation that the Brazil-born forward is unsettled.

Despite only securing promotion to the CSL last season, Tianjin clearly have lofty ambitions as they are managed by Fabio Cannavaro and already possess Axel Witsel and Costa's former Chelsea teammate Alexandre Pato in their ranks.

Shu Yuhui, the billionaire owner of Tianjin, has now claimed that a deal for Costa is in the pipeline and has vowed that the club will challenge the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich for the world's best players in the transfer window.

"In the meantime, these players show more interest in joining the clubs like Bayern and Real Madrid".

The Chinese Super League season began in March and ends in November, with a mid-season transfer window open from June 19 to July 14, during which time a massive offer is expected to come in for Costa.

"The only thing I can say about it is that we are still working on a deal", he revealed.

"We are literally grabbing players with Real Madrid and Bayern".

Whether that's with or without Costa remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain.
