Nintendo Switch: The Fastest Selling Console For Nintendo

Above Yellow Joy Cons are

Nintendo revealed in a statement to GamesBeat that the Switch sold more units over in a two-day launch window than any of its previous devices including the megahit Wii. Not to mention: its March launch is highly unusual for a brand-new console, as it's traditional to aim releases for the holiday season. It's also a record, says Nintendo, selling faster than any other video game system in the company's storied history. In the same announcement, Nintendo announced they sold 1.3 million copies of Zelda. This means that there were more Breath of the Wild sales than there were Nintendo Switch sales. This makes the Switch the fastest selling console from Nintendo to date, though these numbers are within a "nontraditional month". That's a pretty good situation for Nintendo to be in as they hang their hopes on making the Switch the success that the Wii U failed to be. Both the system and the game's sales numbers are likely a testament to what an incredible launch game-and truly unique Zelda title-Breath of the Wild really is. Analyst and tracking firm SuperData is reporting (via VentureBeat) that the company has sold 2.4 million units of the Nintendo Switch worldwide in March, beating Nintendo's own forecasts.

The Nintendo Switch Dock Set can be purchased at a price of $89.99 MSRP, and includes a Nintendo Switch Dock, AC adapter, and an HDMI cable.

In a press release, Nintendo announced they sold 906,000 units of the Nintendo Switch in March.

It is confirmed that more than nine-hundred thousand units of Nintendo Switch was sold last month.

“Nintendo always strives to offer consumers something fun, new and different, ” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of Americas President and COO.

The Nintendo Switch is selling fast and breaking records at Nintendo.

Nintendo declined to comment on sales outside of the USA, saying in a statement that it "is working to make sure everyone who wants a system is able to buy one, and more systems are continually being shipped".
