Mancini homers twice again, Orioles rout Blue Jays 11-4

Orioles rookie Trey Mancini hits 2 HRs; his bats launch 2 others

That marked the second time this season Mancini has collected multiple home runs in a game.

After seeing Mancini's success with the Louisville Slugger C243 bat, both Craig Gentry and Manny Machado grabbed one of the rookie's bats when they were up and both went yard.

You read that right: One bat, three batters, four home runs. "I've never seen that before".

"When you're ahead like that, you're trying to be respectful of the opposition and not have too much fun, but that one was", Showalter added.

Mancini exclusively played first base on his rise up the minor league ranks but has shown flexibility by starting three games in a corner outfield spot early in 2017.

Considering how most baseball players and fans are so superstitious, it's a bit of a surprise that Mancini lent out his lumber.

After launching two more homers during Baltimore's 11-4 win over Toronto on Sunday, the O's first baseman now has seven in his first 12 big league games - tying the Major League record.

There's no guarantee that Mancini will be in the lineup for the team's next game, as the Orioles will lose the DH when they travel to Cincinnati for a three-game series that starts Tuesday. Are you kidding me? "I might need an extra shipment here soon".
