Dana White On When He Expects Jon Jones To Fight Daniel Cormier

White told ESPN.com that he's prepared to finally book the much anticipated rematch between Jones and the current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California on July 29th.

The grueling, grinding champ has called Manuwa "easy work" while he's dubbed himself the "Kid Dynamite" of the UFC light heavyweight division.

Cormier successfully defended the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship for the second time earlier this month when he beat Anthony "Rumble" Johnson.

"The title shot is a big goal for everyone in the sport, but for me, the opportunity to beat Jones is nearly the same thing". He hasn't been seen since beating Ovince St. That's the only mission right now and I don't care for the title shot. "They got into it at UFC 210, and Jimi told me he has never been talked to like that before. I think he needs a warm-up fight, and I think he knows he needs a warm-up fight". Whatever happens, me and Jimi are still going to be good friends, teammates and train together.

White also says Cormier will take on Jimi Manuwa (17-2), probably at UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas should Jones need more time after his suspension. However, Jones was infamously flagged for a potential violation stemming from a random drug test on June 16, just days before the fight.

White is willing to give Jones a shot at reclaiming the belt he was stripped of in April 2015, should he opt against taking a warm up fight.

Gustafsson will headline UFC Fight Night 109 against Glover Teixeira on May 28 in Stockholm, Sweden. "He will not be the main event...until he builds back the trust of the consumers and me".

He has resurrected his Twitter beef with Jones, and has been fully engaged in one with Manuwa since beating Johnson.
