Cormier ready and eager to fight Manuwa

Speaking during a recent interview with ESPN's "Five Rounds" podcast (via MMA Junkie), the English knockout artist revealed his displeasure at Jon Jones reportedly leaping the queue at 205 pounds and getting a rematch with Cormier at July 29's UFC 214 from Anaheim.

The grueling, grinding champ has called Manuwa "easy work" while he's dubbed himself the "Kid Dynamite" of the UFC light heavyweight division.

The rematch has failed to happen twice after Cormier was forced out of the UFC 197 fight last April due to a knee injury, while Jones was pulled from the UFC 200 match last July after testing positive for estrogen blockers he has later declared that came from an unmarked sexual enhancement pill. After demanding Cormier "accept the fight", Cormier replied 'I did! He hasn't been seen since beating Ovince St. "I'll beat [you straight] boxing chump!" But then again, that kind of talk is why Manuwa is on the cusp of a title shot. That's what I think, but it's all up to the UFC and their plans. It will bother me, but at the end of the day, it won't determine what I'm going to do.

Jones' 12-month ban for taking a tainted "dick pill" will be lifted July 6.

White also says Cormier will take on Jimi Manuwa (17-2), probably at UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas should Jones need more time after his suspension.

Don't let Jones's nonchalance fool you, though. White has said that he wouldn't now trust booking Jones in a headlining bout.

"He's thrown away his opportunities which is sad, but when the time comes for him to come back, I'll gladly fight him".

Alexander Gustafsson believes he has some unfinished business with Jon Jones. After all, the man known as "Bones" is widely considered one of the most talented fighters in UFC history.
