All 12 die in Turkish helicopter crash

A Turkish police helicopter carrying a dozen people including a judge and police crashed in east-central Turkey on Tuesday, local officials said.

Turkish helicopter crashed in the province of Tunceli. It took the rescue teams several hours to find the helicopter wreckage due to altitude, adverse weather conditions and low visibility.

"There were seven policemen, two judges and three crewmen in the helicopter", the newspaper reported.

It is believed to have crashed because of unfavourable weather conditions, the statement from the Tunceli governor´s office also said.

According to the media outlet, one of the survived crew members managed to call the emergency service, and a rescue team was immediately dispatched to the area.
