War Machine, who changed his name from Jonathan Koppenhaver, did not testify at his trial.

As the verdict was read, War Machine was seen shaking his head in the courtroom.

The former mixed martial arts fighter known as War Machine was found guilty Monday of kidnapping, beating and sexually assaulting his porn actress ex-girlfriend over several months in 2014, and of beating her male friend when he found them together in her bedroom.

Former MMA fighter War Machine dodged conviction for the attempted murder of his ex-gf, Christy Mack - but was nailed on 29 other charges, including sexual assault and battery.

War Machine was convicted on numerous charges including sexual assault, kidnapping, coercion and battery.

The defense attorney characterized Koppenhaver as a "raging bull" with brain injuries from his fighting career and emotions inflamed by the use of steroids and non-prescription stimulant and antidepressant drugs that combined could have caused mood swings and violence that Leiderman termed "roid rage".

His lawyer conceded the 35-year-old was guilty on charges that relate to punching, kicking and threatening Ms Mack with a knife, and assaulting Mr Thomas in his closing statement.

War Machine was accused of showing up at Mack's home in the early hours of August 8, 2014, while she was asleep in bed with Thomas.

Thomas said he allegedly suffered a broken nose, dislocated shoulder, scrapes, bruises and bite marks in the attack.

Mack told the jury, "I just remember being right in front of the shower like I was about to stand up and he kicked me in the ribs so hard that I fell over". You can't be seen like this. According to the prosecutor, Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Jacqueline Bluth, he faces the possibility of life in prison without parole, despite the jury's indecision on the attempted murder charges.
