IPhone 8 to Have 'Water Drop Design', Rounded Back?

The translated report (via 9to5Mac) reads: "Apple's next iPhone is expected to be closer to "water drop design". Considering offline retailers often try to match online retailers when it comes to payments or giving discounts, iPhone 6 32 GB will be available for Rs 28,999 or approximately the same value in offline stores too.

The cash back offer on the iPhone SE was announced first on Friday, and it will continue till March 31. Most notably, the cash back offer of Rs 5,000 is applicable on bank credit cards and debit cards only.

Buyers can use these credit/debit cards: Axis Bank, Citibank, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Indusind Bank, Kotak, RBL Bank, SBI, Standard Chartered, UBI, and Yes Bank. Consumers should also know that the offer of Rs 5,000 cashback is not available for American Express debit cards.

According to the source, the news (although not official) was broken by kerala-based Apple retailer ITNetInfocom (@itnetinfocom).

Apple has been approached for comment and has yet to confirm the report.

Cash back will be posted back to the card "within 90 days", and Gadgets 360 understands only one iPhone can be purchased per card under this offer. However, there is a catch.

Apple seems to be challenging the mid segment now, by making its older iPhones more affordable.

The Korean news site says the rounder corners are supposed to resemble those from the original iPhone. This price cut in the financial year closing time could be a great push up for Apple sales. But now, Apple authorized offline retailers are selling this 4-inch iPhone at the lower price of Rs. 19,999 for the 16GB model and Rs. 25,999 for the 64GB variant.

The iPhone SE is a powerful phone though with Apple's A9 SoC paired with M9 motion co-processor. With the smaller and cheaper variant getting a further price cut, Apple must be expecting a huge market in India.
