Two students arrested for allegedly raping classmate at school

Officers say 18-year-old Henry E. Sanchez and 17-year-old Jose O. Montano met a female juvenile student in the hallway and asked her to have sex. They are also both being held without bond, and Montano is being charged as an adult. The pair are charged with first -degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual offense. Montgomery County District Judge Eugene Wolfe refused to grant bond to either during a Friday court hearing and ordered them to remain in custody until their next appearance.

Montgomery police Capt. Regina Duckett reported that a shot was sacked from a vacant lot near the school and a stray round entered school property and struck the student.

Both young men took turns raping the girl according to police documents.

A judge said they were risky and flight risks due to the fact they have only been in this country for a couple of months. Montano is from El Salvador and Sanchez is from Guatemala.

It was reported to administration that a student was sexually assaulted by two students in a restroom.

Special Victims Investigations Division detectives arrested Montano and Sanchez on school property. "We just are working very closely with our police and school security partners to ensure this case goes forward in a timely and executed manner", Korionoff said. "Our staff remains vigilant in the monitoring of our school each and every day".
