Ivana Trump writing memoir about life with Donald

Donald Trump's ex-wife, Ivana, to write memoir about their children

It will be published by Gallery Books, part of Simon & Schuster, on September 12, the Associated Press reports.

The former fashion model spoke fondly of her ex-husband during the campaign season.

Ivana Trump became Donald Trump's first wife in 1977, and the pair divorced in 1990. Nevertheless, Donald sued Trump for $25 million over For Love Alone, "claiming the novel was based on their marriage and violated the nondisclosure portion of the divorce decree". Trump's children - Donald, Jr.; Ivanka; and Eric - have been heavily involved in their father's businesses, and are now working for the White House at varying degrees. Ivana support the real estate mogul during his 2016 presidential bid, and the book is unlikely to be critical of him.

During the presidential campaign, Ivana says she constantly received compliments on how classy and put together her adult children were, so she made a decision to tell her story about raising them.

Ivana's marriage to Donald Trump was reportedly not without friction; a 1993 book put forth an accusation that he had raped her, a charge she did not fully refute.

The book, titled Raising Trump, will focus on Ivana's story of "motherhood strength, and resilience", as she brought up the couple's three children.

And with both former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama writing books, it seems there's a lot of first family wordsmithing happening these days.

In his book, "Trump: The Art of the Deal", Trump referred to Ivana as a "great manager" and described her as "demanding and very competitive".

It is still too early to comment of Ivana Trump's upcoming memoir, but it will surely be interesting to see what she has to write about the 45th President of the United States of America and their children.
