Guns N' Roses Have Spinal Tap Moment Down Under

Slash, Duff McKagan, and Rose's other GNR bandmates were already at the venue.

Concertgoers booed the American rockers when guitar technician McBob said hello to "Sydney" at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday night as he introduced the group on stage.

Right before the band came on stage, McBob addressed the crowd as "Melbourne", and Australian apparently don't like being called the wrong city.

Their announcer McBob shouted 'Sydney!' to the unimpressed Melbourne crowd, who responded by booing. "We're truly sorry." Check out fan filmed footage of the gaffe and crown reaction here. "Thank you for coming out tonight!" the tweet read.

Performing together for the first time in 24 years, lead singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bass player Duff McKagan are now travelling the world with their Not In This Lifetime tour.

"The dinner was following a rocky Guns N" Roses show in Melbourne where the band appeared to forget what city they were in.

One follower replied to the post with: "One mistake every 30 years".
