Downey Jr. and Linklater Team For MAN OF THE PEOPLE

Civil War star will head the cast of a now untitled film directed by Boyhood director Richard Linklater, based on an episode of the Reply All podcast that aired in January, called "Man of the People", according to Variety. And just like The Judge, he'll be producing the film under his home production, Team Downey.

Downey and Linklater evidently moved fast on the film, as the Reply All podcast, which tells stories about how people shape technology, only aired Man of the People on 19 January (17).

Filmmaker Richard Linklater will be directing actor Robert Downey a film and it is a reunion for them as the have earlier worked together in 2006′s A Scanner Darkly. As Brinkley's fame grows, he gets the attention of Dr. Morris Fishbein, editor of the American Medical Association who begins a decade long quest to take him down'. Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures is producing the movie, which as-yet doesn't have a title.

CAA represents Gimlet Media, Linklater, and Downey Jr.

Downey will next be seen as his Marvel alter-ego, Iron Man, is this summer's Spider-Man: Homecoming and next year's Avengers: Infinity War.

Linklater is also prepping "The Last Flag Flying" with Steve Carell and Bryan Cranston.
