We heard he's a drummer and friend to Tenney, (a singer-songwriter and another of American Girl's new releases). And Barbie got a major makeover a year ago, giving the iconic doll several ethnicities and body shapes.

American Girl is best known for their girl of the year dolls, but they've always got at least a few new dolls they release every year to give their stars some company. Sales of the brand rose 4 percent during the last three months of 2016.

American Girl has introduced its first male doll. Logan has short brown hair, gray eyes, an original outfit and his very own rhythmic drum set.

Mattel, which owns American Girl, saw its sales surge a year ago following its introduction of a more diverse doll selection.

The addition of Logan is just one of many exciting inclusions to the American Girl lineup - and he and Tenney be drumming their way into your heart starting February 16!

American Girl will also release several other diverse characters in 2017. She'll be out this year along with Nanea Mitchell, a native Hawaiian from the World War II era. A contemporary doll named Z Yang, a Korean-American filmmaker, will be available this spring.

The 18-inch figures sell for $115 each, or about $140 for the doll, a collection of accessories and the doll's book. No shame if you want to take a stroll through the American Girl store to seem him-you know, for nostalgia's sake.

"We do an enormous amount of research with girls and their parents", Julie Parks, a spokesperson for American Girl, told TODAY.
