GasBuddy: Gasoline prices down compared to last week

AAA Northeast's weekly survey of local gas prices finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.25 per gallon, four cents less than a week ago.

A total of 36 states saw gasoline prices fall in the last week, led by Great Lakes states: in fell 13.9 cents, OH fell 13.1, MI tumbled 10.9 cents, Kentucky fell 8.7 cents and IL dropped by 6.2 cents, thanks to some relief from refinery issues in the last few weeks. The lowest average price was about $2.30 per gallon in the Flint area, while the highest average was about $2.52 in the Marquette area.

In Olympia on Tuesday, the lowest price listed at washingtongasprices.com was $2.53 a gallon at two Arco stations: at Evergreen Park Drive and Cooper Point Road and at Yelm Highway Southeast and Boulevard Road Southeast. OPEC is expected to hold a compliance meeting next week to see the agreement's participants are doing, and to decide what level of compliance would work best.
