New David Bowie EP 'No Plan' And Video For Title Track Released

The three songs included from "Lazarus" have been released as the "No Plan" EP. NME took some time to dig up some more recordings of Bowie's vocal prowess including "Modern Love", "Ziggy Stardust", and "Under Pressure".

Asked if she'd like to see a film about Bowie's life, she said: "There's an awesome documentary that is going to be out this week, I mean I'm not going, "Oh I really want a film about that", because it's the anniversary of his death there's interesting stuff coming out. It shows a shop called "Newton Electrical" - which is a reference to his "The Man Who Fell To Earth" character - with a row of television broadcasting his lyrics. "Happy Birthday Bowie. We miss you", the Shaun of the Dead director wrote on Sunday, alongside a link to Bowie performing the track DJ.

The documentary was by the BBC; Bowie discovered his treatment was to be stopped while he was starring in the death-shrouded music video Lazarus.

A memorial charity concert remembering David Bowie is being held tonight, on what would have been his 70th birthday.

With a description which promises to have "Bowie people playing Bowie music Bowie style", it's fair to say the gig will offer fans plenty Bowie for their buck.

In addition to debuting David Bowie: The Last Five Years, BBC4 will also broadcast rarely seen performances from Bowie.

The brand new 90-minutes film comes from Francis Whately, who four years previously delivered the fascinating doc David Bowie: Five Years about the musical birth of the Starman himself. However, the clip's director reveals the haunting visuals were not originally meant to be Bowie's final farewell. "In some ways he seems to have worked harder in that period than at nearly any other time, except the beginning of the 1970s when he was producing Ziggy Stardust, Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane".

The loss of an icon so suffused with creativity was devastating for many - and gave a cryptic and enigmatic end to the legendary musician. And now, one year later, more information about Bowie's battle with cancer is being released.
