Cleveland Browns get their own Christmas miracle in the NFL

The Browns play the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, Dec. 25.

In Week 15, RGIII ran for a nifty touchdown in the Browns' loss to the Bills, but also got destroyed in the open field, just like his time as a member of the Redskins.

But now it's back to work, and the Browns that will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on January 1 in the final game of the season aren't quite as healthy as they'd like to be. "It is not about me, so absolutely, I was emotional for our players". "I just thought All that emotion just came to a head".

No one really knows when the Browns will have a franchise quarterback, as they have had six different players under center this season. If coach Mike Tomlin leaves his starters in the game, Pittsburgh should really have no trouble with the Browns; after all, they didn't earlier this season.

"It would be a big difference", cornerback Joe Haden said. "And since it's a home game, being able to go here, celebrate". Eli Manning was drafted first by the Chargers with Rivers going fourth to the Giants and a draft-day swap ensued.

And as the Browns huddled around him in the postgame locker room, Cleveland's first-year coach desperately wanted to make a point. That is where I want this organization to be.

That is likely one of the reasons Jackson called the feeling of winning Saturday freeing.

RUN DEFENSE: B - A week after being mauled for 280 rushing yards by the Bills, the Browns smothered the Chargers, holding them to 34 yards on 19 carries.

Cleveland does not cause a lot of turnovers; they have only 12 on the entire season (nine interceptions and three recovered fumbles).

Jackson hinted that he'll have a short leash with Griffin and won't hesitate to bring in rookie Cody Kessler, who has made eight starts.

The next tie breaker would be record against conference opponents and then divisional opponents. Gates hasn't caught a TD pass in four games.

-Philip Rivers now has 4,000 passing yards in a season for the eighth time in his career.

There's real question just how good of a running back Isaiah Crowell truly is, but he's got some ability.

The only team in National Football League history to finish 0-16 was the 2008 Detroit Lions.

Some of San Diego's players were in disbelief after losing to the NFL's only winless team. The Chargers have now been involved in 13 games decided by eight points or less, losing 10. It was as if the people in the stands had forgotten what a win looked and felt like.

"Everybody gets game balls".

"I don't think you could paint a better picture than this past Saturday, where all the guys went out willing to stick to the script and trusting in the Coach, and never gave up", Cleveland linebacker Christian Kirksey said. "That is the goal when you start your openers". Even then, though, Cleveland nearly blew their best chance a win to date.
