However, it has been confirmed just now by several tech and game enthusiasts that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 is poised to match the AMD RX 480's capabilities.

10-series GPUs will now recognize the Display Port interface that is on the Vive link box. Those with GeForce GTX 1080, 1070, and 980 Ti can now download NVIDIA VR Funhouse from Steam.

"When we first saw some of the early VR games and experiences, we quickly realized that something was missing: there was little to no physics simulation", explains Nvidia in a blog post, adding that essentially, VR brings users to new game dimension that simulates the physical world and thus, requires objects in these games to "behave and react in realistic ways". There are also a couple of other fixed issues including corruption seen when booting on DVI at or above 330MHz pixel clock and 80Hz refresh rate, noticed on GP104-based graphics cards. It's playable on the HTC Vive headset, giving you some fun carnival-style games to play and try out all the new NVIDIA graphics technology.

Nvidia VR Funhouse has been heavily promoted, which is understandable given it is the firm's "first ever video game". The new versions fix some performance issue while also optimizing devices for upcoming VR titles.

The new Geforce 368.81 WHQL drivers also bring Ansel support in Mirror's Edge Catalyst and brings new SLI profile for Obduction. Games such as the Witcher 3 is getting Ansel support "soon" according to Nvidia so watch this space.

Ansel was one of the big features Nvidia announced alongside the GTX 1080.

The company's various available tech that aims to enhance an already immersive experience, are all combined in VR Funhouse to accomplish a new feat in virtual reality.
